Answer this question. Is there a time in your life when you should stop listening to 'new' music and stick to your own 'era'?
I used to annoy my daughter by singing along to the latest hit on the radio, as if I had no right to be listening to it, let alone enjoy it. I love music and have an eclectic taste; in fact my i-pod contains everything from The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, to Queens of the Stone Age, Ramstein and more recent purchases Lady Ga Ga and Little Boots.
What music do you listen to outside of your comfort zone of acceptance?

Never stop listening to 'new' music. I certainly won't. But there comes a time when you should stop dancing to it in public

My son used to tease me for singing along to music.
It isn't an age thing - kids find it squirm making to see their parents doing anything not immediately associated with parenting tasks.
But now my son needs a backing singer for his own new tracks he has suddenly stopped mocking my singing efforts and started praising them
