In 1968, Chairman Mao of China, banned 'The Sound of Music' as being, 'a blatant example of capitalist pornography'.
Whereas in 1994 Dudley and District Hospital Radio banned the song 'My Way' for the "and now, the end is near..." lyric and also 'I left my heart in San Francisco' and 'wide eyed and legless', for fear of upsetting heart and amputee patients respectively.
