I noted with interest that there is considerable air time being given to the sale of the new Zoey 101 magazine, aimed at pre-pubescent little girls like my daughter. I am little confused considering the program was scrapped in the US when it's 16 year old star,Jamie Lynn Spears, become pregnant. Jamie, sister of that other great teenage role model Britney, acts as a 14 year old in a show, that deals with usual teenage 'life style' matters. Maybe the magazine should resist giving away the usual free gift of eye shadow and offer a pregnancy testing kit....

Oh, I didn't know that's what happened to that crappy show. Well aren't the Spears sisters going swimmingly at the moment. What an embarrassment to America they both must be.
My girls are both too young to read that tripe. -

There is quite an uproar in the US over her pregnancy. The show has been canceled.

I don't know if I remember this correctly but the legal age for consent is 18 over unlike here although all teens seem to acting more grown up these days even before they are a teen!

I don't think the age of consent is much recognised in Trailer Trash Land, less so if it's your cousin.

I suspect this kind of mag belongs to the same mind-set as that which pushes prepubescent girls (all glammed up) onto the catwalk.

Well, I wouldn't let my kids read that sort of crap anyway, but apart from that, would the kids even know that she is pregnant because if they are reading 'that sort of crap' they aren't exactly gonna be bright enough to keep up with current affairs in the real world?
