Essex Boy wants to start worshiping the Sun again (see http://essexboy.blog.co.uk/2007/07/11/join_me~2613761 ).
Me I want to rekindle Atenism, if it is not still being worshipped today. So if anybody out there knows if the Aten (Aton) is still vernerated anywhere in the world can they get in touch.

I was wondering about worshipping Cicero, who came to such a violent but dignified end in Rome last week.

I consider it religion at its purest. Thanking the sun each day for rising and giving us another day and praying at night when it disappears in the hopes it will come back again.
We come from star dust and to it we will return makes sense to me.

Except, except except that the entire religion is based upon the (typically human) assumption that even whilst the Sun requires deference, the earth is (we are) the static centre of the whole arrangement.
Its also about the same as praying to the great pink sock in the front of the washing machine, so ask that it will go round again.
Much better to refer to whoever put the load on; you think?
